Contractor & Trade Business Systems / PLAN THE RESULT. AGREE THE SCOPE.
Connect scope, estimating, the office and the field.
Plan a clearer website, estimate record, proposal process or internal tool for a contractor or trade business, with traceable inputs, practical handoffs and human review.
Scope and availability are confirmed before work begins. Your brief stays on this device until a verified enquiry route is connected.

Project concept
Trade systems / Scope, evidence and review.. Concept example, not commissioned client work.
THE RIGHT STARTING POINT
Who this helps
- Contractors improving their public presence.
- Office and field teams with scattered enquiries, measurements, photos, plans or documents.
MAKE THE RESULT CLEAR
What your project can include
BCI can help with a scoped project. We confirm deliverables, timing and availability before you commit.
- A service website or enquiry plan.
- A proposal, scope, estimate or documentation workflow map.
- A field/office prototype using approved examples, visible assumptions and version history.
- Permissions, testing and handoff requirements for later integration.
Illustrative project, not a client result
Picture one useful project.
The starting point
A contractor wants reviewed measurements, assemblies and document evidence to become a traceable estimate and field handoff.
The proposed result
An illustrative office-to-field workflow compares estimate scenarios, keeps assumptions and exclusions visible, and prepares approved outputs. It does not independently take off plans, fetch live supplier prices, guarantee accuracy, submit a bid or authorize work.
Know what you are agreeing to.
What belongs in the agreed scope
- A written brief and agreed deliverable list.
- A visual or working draft with defined review points.
- Handoff notes, acceptance requirements and confirmed file formats.
What needs a separate decision
- Provider access and production bindings require separate permission.
- Publishing, paid services and external costs are agreed before action.
- Maintenance and expanded scope are not included automatically.
- Production estimating, live pricing, business records and field integrations require individually verified access.
GOOD QUESTIONS / CLEAR ANSWERS
Before we begin
Is Estimator ready for production estimating?
Not yet. BCI Estimator is in development. Tested work includes carpentry installation packs, plumbing field-discovery records and general-contractor revision and forecast workflows, with quantities, labor and material inputs, allowances, alternates, adjustments, reviewed evidence and versioned printable proposals. Full integration, deployment and the Lydia connection remain unfinished.
What do Scope Guardian, Estimate Passport and Estimate X-Ray mean?
They are developing traceability concepts: Scope Guardian keeps missing or changed scope visible; Estimate Passport records the basis, assumptions and version context; Estimate X-Ray helps a reviewer inspect calculations, categories and evidence before an output is approved.
Must I replace every existing tool?
No. We first inspect what you use and what can be reused safely.
What should I bring to the first discussion?
Bring an approved sample scope, estimate or job record; the units and cost categories you use; required office and field outputs; approval roles; and current tools. Redact private customer, employee and supplier information before sharing.
See the idea before production.
A storyboard, page plan or workflow map makes a proposed result easier to review. The artwork here illustrates a visual direction; it is not a completed client project.
Start with one useful result.
