BCIPrepare a brief

Custom Software & Dashboards / PLAN THE RESULT. AGREE THE SCOPE.

Build around the work your software makes difficult.

Explore a focused application, dashboard or portal around the processes and systems you already use.

Scope and availability are confirmed before work begins. Your brief stays on this device until a verified enquiry route is connected.

BCI / CONCEPT EXAMPLE

Project concept

Custom software / A focused workspace for the job.. Concept example, not commissioned client work.

THE RIGHT STARTING POINT

Who this helps

  • Businesses with awkward spreadsheets or repeated data entry.
  • Teams needing a clearer interface over an existing approved system.

MAKE THE RESULT CLEAR

What your project can include

BCI can help with a scoped project. We confirm deliverables, timing and availability before you commit.

  • Requirements and a data or workflow map.
  • A reviewable interface and implementation scope.
  • A bounded application slice where requirements are confirmed.
  • Meaningful checks, documentation and handoff notes.

Illustrative project, not a client result

Picture one useful project.

The starting point

A team needs to track an internal request from submission to review.

The proposed result

An illustrative interface and tested prototype using approved sample records. Production identity and database access remain separate.

Know what you are agreeing to.

What belongs in the agreed scope
  • A written brief and agreed deliverable list.
  • A visual or working draft with defined review points.
  • Handoff notes, acceptance requirements and confirmed file formats.
What needs a separate decision
  • Provider access and production bindings require separate permission.
  • Publishing, paid services and external costs are agreed before action.
  • Maintenance and expanded scope are not included automatically.
  • Production hosting, migrations, credentials and security grants are separately approved.

GOOD QUESTIONS / CLEAR ANSWERS

Before we begin

Will you create another login system?

We first inspect existing account authority and approved architecture. A second account system is not assumed.

Can it connect to our database?

Compatibility and permission must be verified. A prototype does not establish a production binding.

What should I bring to the first discussion?

Bring the users, the job the tool should support, current software, approved sample data, roles, must-have behavior and known integration constraints. Do not include credentials or private production data in the planning brief.

See the idea before production.

A storyboard, page plan or workflow map makes a proposed result easier to review. The artwork here illustrates a visual direction; it is not a completed client project.

Start with one useful result.

Your brief stays local until you review the exact sharing preview and explicitly send it through a connected first-party intake. No files are uploaded by describing them.
